20 years of experience.
A genuine curiosity about what makes you who you are.
I became a therapist because I believe that understanding yourself opens you up to finding a sense of calm, improved relationships, and a clearer vision for the future. Most of what gets in our way has roots in our early experiences and relationships, and the stories we’ve told ourselves for so long that we’ve stopped questioning them, now have too much power. My job is to help you find those connections, understand them, and slowly untangle their grip.
That might sound heavy. In practice, it’s more like a conversation. Unhurried, non-judgmental, at your pace. Some sessions we go deep, and others, we focus on practical tools you can use right away. Usually, it’s a mix of both.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with new parents, young adults navigating big decisions, professionals dealing with burnout, people healing from trauma, and older adults in major life transitions. What they’ve had in common is a desire to understand themselves better, and a readiness to do something different.

Education
My undergraduate and graduate studies focused on clinical social work; through this education I learned to view individuals through a biopsychosocial lens. This means, a person is a part of their family constellation, impacted by their home and community environment growing up, and influenced by experiences and relationships throughout their lives. My graduate research explored dynamics around the education of pre-adoptive parents regarding attachment issues and considerations in adopting foster children. I regularly continue my education through professional training programs to refine my skills and offerings to better meet the needs of my clients.
Bachelor of Social Work, St. Olaf College
Masters of Clinical Social Work, St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas
