About Elizabeth Vu, LICSW
I bring my empathic sensitivity to help bring resolution to the issues that are getting in your way of a full life.
I have worked in the field of social work for over 20 years, helping people in different settings and at different stages of life. As a mental health therapist for the past 16 years, I’ve supported new parents, young families, young adults, adults in a variety of careers, and older adults.
In therapy, I use a variety of tools to support our work through challenges. This may include conversations about what it was like growing up and how that impacted you and your relationships, learning mindfulness and grounding exercises to calm the nervous system, or EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to work through trauma.
This might sound like a lot, but my approach is to start by listening to you and working through the difficult parts gently and will work together towards lasting change.
Schedule a first conversation to see if this feels like a fit for you. You can call me at 425-390-8325 or reach out through my contact form.

Education
My undergraduate and graduate studies focused on clinical social work; through this education I learned to view individuals through a biopsychosocial lens. This means, a person is a part of their family constellation, impacted by their home and community environment growing up, and influenced by experiences and relationships throughout their lives. My graduate research explored dynamics around the education of pre-adoptive parents regarding attachment issues and considerations in adopting foster children. I regularly continue my education through professional training programs to refine my skills and offerings to better meet the needs of my clients.
Bachelor of Social Work, St. Olaf College
Masters of Clinical Social Work, St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas
