Insomnia Treatment

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a short-term treatment approach (typically 6-8 sessions) for people struggling with their sleep. If you are having a difficult time with falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early, despite trying typical sleep hygiene strategies, CBT-I may be a helpful approach for you. Reach out to schedule an initial assessment session.

Trauma Work

For people who have experienced acute trauma (one-time events, such as a car accident) or “chronic trauma'“ which may be challenges in early life/attachment, negative experiences in childhood, or trauma from harmful relationships, such as emotional abuse or narcissistic abuse. Together we will work on healing from your experiences, develop coping tools to keep you grounded, and explore a more hopeful future.

Relationship Issues

For people struggling in relationships, such as with friendships, coworkers, family members, partner, or parent-child relationships. We will explore the dynamics, identify healthy boundaries, and learn how to show up in a way that builds more positive connections with others.

Anxiety and Depression

In my work, I often see clients who are struggling with anxiety or depression, which may look like “spinning” thoughts, difficulty being in the present, feeling a lack of confidence, experiencing low mood, lack of interest in daily activities, or difficulty connecting to others. Maybe you look like you’re functioning well on the outside, but feel overwhelmed emotionally, or caught in cycles that are difficult to change. We will explore potential causes and develop a plan for addressing these challenges.

Adjustment to Life Transitions

You may be experiencing significant changes in roles at work or home, caretaking of older parents and children, experiencing grief and mourning, or job stress/burnout. Many people also find therapy to help them through transitions in their lives, which might include relocations, retirement, or career changes. We will explore ways to focus your energy on what’s important, stay aligned with your values, and make more space for yourself.
